Description
Miloš Železňák is another of our record company‘s permanent stars. He alternates genres subtly and very creatively, moving naturally from blues through avantgarde trad-folk inspirations or “dusting off” old Slavic traditions, to classical jazz expression.
He appears in this showcase in a duo, presenting a project which is in preparation, and will be coming out later this year on our label, of course.
The EFOS combo is a continuation of the cooperation between guitarist Miloš Železňák and drummer Jozef Krupa, which began back in 2013. Following various musical events the duo are now arrying out their first, original intention, which is to play improvized music. This links up with another project that has emerged in the meantime between Jan Orišek and Miloš Železňák called “Duševné vlastníctvo” (Intellectual Property), the recording of which will be issued this autumn by Hevhetia Records. Miloš Železňák is also a member of the Zuzana Homolová Trio, playing blues, world-ethno and improvizations, but his actual “centre of gravity” is his own formation, the Miloš Železňák Trio, which is currently involved to a major degree in studio work. Jozef Krupa plays at present alternately with the bands Ankram, Škvíry&Spoje and the Jana Bezek Trio, and he‘s in cooperation with musician and producer Stroon. He focuses on combined improvized and composed (comprovized) music, and his own individual development. For a few years now he‘s been trying to bring out an album of his own, but due to his great openness to music, constantly giving him new inspiration, it‘s not easy to place the full stop and complete the concept.
